After a two-hour long audition Saturday morning and a very LONG day waiting to hear if he was cast in any part of Treasure Island, he finally did get called! Of course, Sam wasn't home to take it so I was the receiver of this great news and he was offered the part of Jim Hawkins, the lead! Taryn and I were more anxious about it for him all day than he was. He has his work cut out for him because this main character has quite a load of monologues and lines to memorize! This next month of rehearsals will certainly be filled with its challenges. For those locally, Treasure Island will be playing at Matthews Playhouse from February 24th to March 4th. Come and watch Sam act for his very first time!
